40 Days for Life Vigils in Toronto and Guelph
From February 17th to- March 28th, communities in Toronto and Guelph will be among many cities across Canada and the U.S. joining together for a dynamic coordinated pro-life mobilization: 40 Days for Life. This will consist of:
- 40 days of prayer and fasting;
- 40 days of peaceful vigil;
- 40 days of community outreach.
In Toronto, the activities will take place at the “Women’s Care Clinic” (Abortion Facility) at 960 Lawrence Ave (Lawrence Ave. & Dufferin Street) from 7am-9 p.m. each day. There will also be a Kick-Off Rally on Tuesday, February 16, at the Good Shepherd Convent (25 Good Shepherd Court, Toronto), at 7 p.m., with a reception afterwards. The guest speaker will be Bryan Kemper, founder and president of Stand True Ministries, a Christ-centered pro-life group.
A mid-point rally will be held on Monday, March 8, when Archbishop Thomas Collins will celebrate Mass at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 811 Lawrence Ave. E.
In Guelph, the vigil will be held at the Guelph General Hospital 115 Delhi St., in front of the hospital, on the city sidewalk.
