Scott Klusendorf: a pro-life speaker not to be missed

Guest speaker for the 2011 Halton Pro-Life 2011 Respect Life Banquet is one of the world’s most accomplished and persuasive pro-life speakers and teachers: Scott Klusendorf, president of the Life Training Institute.

Scott comes to Halton Pro-Life with strong recommendations - a speaker not to be missed. Chuck Colson, founder and chairman of Prison Fellowship, says: “I was struck by his ability to communicate truth so clearly and insightfully. I’ve heard many speakers who deliver excellent content, but few who can actually equip people to communicate their pro-life convictions to a secular culture.”

Scott has received many accolades as a fundraising banquet speaker. His passionate and engaging talks have inspired people at other pro-life banquets to exceed expectations for donations and pledges.

He has been heard on the radio in Canada and the U.S., and on many syndicated Christian programs such as Dr. James Dobson’s Focus on the Family and Billy Graham’s Hour of Decision. His writings have been published by Father Frank Pavone on the Priests for Life website.

Students in Halton have already benefited from Scott’s work. He trains pro-life activists throughout Canada and the United States to defend their views persuasively in the public square. Halton Pro-Life donated copies of his book Pro-Life 101 to Catholic secondary schools in Halton students who took the Pro-Life 101 seminars presented by Theresa Gilbert.

Scott has taught pro-life advocacy skills in high schools and universities, where he has debated some of the most ardent pro-abortion students, and has successfully debated prominent pro-abortion advocates, among them Nadine Strossen, a past-president of the American Civil Liberties Union, and Kathy Kneer, President of Planned Parenthood of California..

He is the author of The Case for Life: Equipping Christians to Engage the Culture, released in March 2009 by Crossway Books. He has also published articles on pro-life apologetics in The Christian Research Journal, Clear Thinking, Focus on the Family Citizen, and The Conservative Theological Journal.

Since graduating from UCLA with honors and earning a Masters Degree in Christian Apologetics from Biola University, an independent Southern California Christian establishment, he has dedicated his life to defending the lives of babies in the womb. It is with the passion of that commitment that he will inspire us at our Respect Life Banquet.
